YourVoice.Now SummaryTransparency & Accountability

This resolution directs the President under the War Powers Resolution to remove U.S. Armed Forces from hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Forces could remain only to defend the United States or an ally from imminent attack, and only if the President follows the War Powers Resolution's reporting rules. The directive does not apply if Congress later declares war on Iran or passes a specific authorization for use of military force. As a concurrent resolution it expresses the position of both chambers but does not carry the force of law on its own.
