Your Money
Colleges that win a grant could offer survivors tutoring, counseling, mental health care, or help returning after a leave. Each school picks one or more of these, so the help would vary by campus.
Transparency & Accountability
Funding is approved only for 2027 through 2031. After that, Congress would have to act again to keep the grants going.
More about this bill
If you survived sexual assault or other violence in college, your school could get federal money to help you keep up in class. The Education Department would hand out five-year grants to colleges in a contest. Schools could spend the money on tutoring, counseling, and mental health care. They could also help survivors come back after time away from school. Colleges with a history of breaking Title IX rules would get priority. So would community colleges and minority-serving colleges, such as historically Black and Tribal colleges. Each school would report what help survivors asked for and what they got. It would also report their graduation and return rates. No dollar amount is set. Congress would pick the amount each year from 2027 through 2031.
