Makes permanent two Medicare telehealth flexibilities for Indian Health Service programs and urban Indian organizations that were originally created during the COVID-19 emergency. Patients receiving telehealth services from these tribal-affiliated providers could be located at any U.S. site, including their own home, instead of being limited to designated medical facilities. The bill also permanently allows audio-only telehealth visits — phone calls without video — to qualify for Medicare payment when furnished through tribal or urban Indian programs. The changes apply to services on or after April 1, 2025.
