No Visas for Anti-Semitic Students Act

YourVoice.Now SummaryCivil Liberties

Foreign students holding F or M visas (the two main categories for full-time academic and vocational study) could have those visas revoked or denied if they commit physical violence, vandalism, or harassment targeting Jewish individuals, their property, or religious institutions. The bill also covers students who fund, organize, or incite others to commit those acts, knowing the support would be used for that purpose. The Secretary of State must make both findings — that the conduct occurred and that it poses potentially serious foreign policy consequences for the United States — before revoking or denying a visa. Students who lose their visa under this law would be required to leave the country.
