Purpose statements come back for park staff housing and park shuttle buses. They also return for city park grants, the Underground Railroad program, and the Land and Water Conservation Fund. Two laws repealed by mistake would come back, dated as if they had never gone. A few pieces carry real weight. Grants that buy Civil War battlefield land could only go to owners willing to sell. None of that money could be used to lobby Congress. The end date for those grants moves from 2020 to 2025. The bill also writes $50 million for park repairs into the code, tied to the 2018 and 2019 budget years.
